Android parental controls for school kids
On Android, Hoglt keeps a child's phone on the school-day rules a parent sets, and only the parent can change them.

What can a parent set?
- Schedules: School time, Bedtime and daily-limit templates. Rules from the parent app arrive by themselves.
- Daily limits: when the day's time for an app is used up, it stays closed until tomorrow.
- Location rules: different settings at school and at home.
- Wi-Fi rules: rules that follow the network the phone is on.
- Website blocking: block whole categories or any site you type.

What works only on Android?
- Focus timer for study sessions.
- Bilimdon AI: coins earned for tasks pay for questions; it guides homework without giving direct answers.
- Shield mode (PLUS): the app can't be deleted or turned off; it unlocks by timer, PIN or schedule.
How do requests, tasks and coins work?
A child can ask a parent to open an app for a while. Tasks from a parent earn coins. Link the phones with a short code from the parent app.
Why does Hoglt use Android's accessibility service?
Hoglt uses Android's AccessibilityService to see when specific apps open, to apply the parent's restrictions and to prevent accidental uninstalling. It is turned on only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Read what Hoglt doesn't see.
How do I set it up on Android?
- Install Hoglt on the child's phone from Google Play and give the permissions it asks for.
- Install Hoglt Parent on your phone.
- Link the two phones with the short code.
Hoglt PLUS on Android
Unlimited custom schedules, location-based rules, full weekly statistics and Shield mode. Everything else is free. See what PLUS adds.
What does a child see when an app is closed?
A block screen that says why, with a button to ask a parent. The parent can open the app for a while from their phone, and the rules come back by themselves.
How do Wi-Fi and location rules work?
A rule can depend on where the phone is: one set of rules inside the school area and another at home, or rules that follow the Wi-Fi network the phone is connected to. Location-based rules come with PLUS; Wi-Fi rules are Android only.
How does it compare with Family Link?
Google Family Link is free and covers schedules and daily limits on Android. Hoglt adds rules a school can set, Wi-Fi rules, requests, tasks and coins, and Bilimdon AI. Read Hoglt vs Google Family Link.
